Bellevue is located on the eastern edge of Sarpy County, which has been one of the fastest growing counties in Nebraska! Residents often use Highway 370 or the Kennedy Expressway to get anywhere in the metro area with minutes!

The city of Bellevue has a rich history of settle river development and its name was derived from “Beautiful View.” A large part of the view in Bellevue is attributed to the 1.400-acre pristine nature preserve known as Fontenelle Forest which provides hiking, conservatory education, and year-round family activities. Along the southern edge of Bellevue, the expansive Offutt Air Force base strives in the Bellevue community offering a history of pride, community, and stability!

With multiple schools options, bike-friendly main streets and pace of growth, Bellevue is only looking onward and upward and fuels Sarpy County’s growth!

Each year Bellevue students make their parents proud with high honors earn state and national recognition in such diverse fields as engineering, science, communication arts, vocal music, band, JROTC, industrial arts, and athletics.

Bellevue Public Schools is proud to serve the educational needs of the Bellevue/Offutt Community. The BPS District has just over 10,000 students; there are 2 high schools, 3 middle schools, and 15 elementary schools in the BPS District serving PK-12th grade.

Bellevue Public Schools is accredited by the state of Nebraska and AdvancED, a global accreditation agency. Bellevue provides a comprehensive education program designed to meet the needs of all students.

Lifestyle

Bellevue residents have many options when it comes to moving around town for living needs. Twin Creek offers shopping dining, theatres, and trails. Marcus Theaters, sports bars, and indoor shooting are some local establishments always busy with action! Grab some authentic Mexican at Netties – the Toad Taco is a must! Like BBQ, get to Swine Dining early on Fridays and you might still be able to get the prized “Burnt Ends”.

The Lied Activity Center offers a full-size gymnasium, indoor walking track, and functions as a gym for many residents of Bellevue! Libraries, forests and Bellevue University all offer monthly event calendars, making it easy to spend time with people close to you on any budget!
